Family Day Trip in So Cal Giveaway Ends 9/25 @ noon pst

UPDATED Aquarium of the Pacific DISCOUNTS for 2010

A few years ago, my husband started a day trip theme to re-spark our interest in sight seeing in the local community here in Southern California. We made it our goal to spend less than fifty dollars (including gas) for the whole days adventure.  Every month we would scout out a different area we wanted to visit and planned accordingly. Surprisingly, it was REALLY fun and we learned a lot about sites we had not bothered to visit before. Some of our day trips included taking the Metro down to Little Tokyo, Visiting the Friendship Bell, and taking a mini boat tour at the harbor.

At the end of the year, we decided to take a trip to The Aquarium of the Pacific. We had been there before but as a family, we love discovering and observing all the marine life. With over 11,000 ocean animals, it’s the perfect day trip to explore the waters of the Pacific all in one place. From the cool Tropical Reef Habitat right when you walk in to Shark Lagoon – with touch pools to the interactive Lorikeet Forest aviary! It’s a full sensory experience for the little ones.

With Fall quickly approaching and school back in session, I want to take a trip again to check out their transformation for Halloween; The Scarium of the Pacific! I think the kids would really dig that – seeing all the marine life plus decorated to one of their favorite holidays!
