After weighing out the frozen section bargains between Vons (ends 3/31/10) and Albertsons (ends 3/25/10) this week, I decided the best value for us would be Albertsons. Vons has the spend $25 and get $10 Catalina coupon and Albertsons has buy 10 on marked frozen products get the $10 Catalina coupon. Albertsons is good towards your next purchase while Vons is frozen section only.
I have been seeing loads of different scenarios. Here’s what I ended up with!
Transaction #1 – OOP $2.76
4 boxes of Post cereal ($1.69/box) $6.76
(2) MQ $1/2 (from last weeks circular) = -$2
(2) Albertsons double coupon = -$2
(it expired 3/16, the mgr honored it)
Total after discounts and tax = $2.76
Received $3 Catalina coupon for transaction #2 (roll to next purchase)
Transaction #2 – OOP $11.80
10 Smart One entrees ($1.88 ea) = $18.80
(1) Smart Ones MQ $4/10 (coupon from box) -$4
(1) $3 Catalina (from transaction #1) -$3
Don’t have the $4/10, get $1/2 Smart Ones coupons here
Total after discounts and tax = $11.80
Received $10 Chill coupon for purchase of 10 frozen items (roll to next purchase)
Transaction #3 – OOP $3.77
1 bag Kingsford Matchlight Charcoal $11.99
1 Glad saran wrap $2.99
1 Hidden Vally Ranch dressing $3.79
1 KC Masterpiece bbq sauce $2.29
1 package of meat $3.12
Use Kingsford coupons (get them here)
Use $10 off coupon from transaction #2
Use Kingsford $2 off meat (from the circulars)
Total after discounts and tax = $3.77
Total spent = $18.33 OOP
Total regular price approx $62
Savings of over 70% – woo!
