Seriously older thoughts

I have been repeating the word “Rococo” this past week. Mostly because of the Arcade Fire song. They encapsulate my feelings in trying to relate to those in the young adulthood category.

“Let’s go downtown and watch the modern kids
Let’s go downtown and talk to the modern kids
They will eat right out of your hand
Using great big words that they don’t understand

They’re singing
Rococo, Rococo, Rococo, Rococo…”

While I might never understand their motivations, songs like these make me feel not so indifferent about growing older. Embracing my age. Maturity is not such a bad thing.

Note: Admitting this does not mean I will give up my ever-changing crush on any specific musicians (win butler).
