By on 8-13-2010 in outside So Cal

This sandwich was pretty simple to make. Slap some hummus on Flatout bread (lite). OH delish.

1 piece of your favorite specialty wrap
2 tablespoons of roasted red pepper hummus
1 slice of pepper jack cheese
1 leaf green lettuce or romaine
2-3 slices of red onion
2-3 slices of desired lunch meat or veggie patty
2-3 slices of seeded and sliced tomato
2-3 slices of pickle or bell pepper (optional)
Dash of Pepper, salt and vinegar (optional)

Lay out lavash and slather on the red pepper hummus, add ham, onion, tomato, pepperjack cheese, lettuce, and the dash of vinegar.

Roll the wrap slowly. Once secured, slice in half. Now, eat, so delicious!

DIY Tattoo Removal: Removing the in-frugality of the past

By on 8-13-2010 in outside So Cal

This is one of the more interesting DIY things I have researched.  DH has been complaining about a few of his tattoos  he got as a young lad. I have to say, I have tried to understand and even debated a few times but when you love them you love ‘em.

This is for when you are no longer enamored with the once desired body art. I checked around and found this stuff. Seems like it works.

And, it really is as easy as the package says it is once you stop regretting it and start removing It.

Wrecking Balm In home tattoo removal. Plus, it has a risk free trial, thankfully.

Interesting to see how much it takes away…

Tips for School Supply Deals

By on 8-13-2010 in outside So Cal

The New Frugal Mom has some great ideas about School Supply Deals and ways to give back.

The short story:

Give Locally
Buy extra supplies to give to teachers, they always need them!
Ask – Just ask if the school needs any thing in particular and help where you can.
School already has what it needs?  Donate to local shelters or crisis centers.

Give Nationally
Look up lists of needs in far away in other cities.
Donate a few dollars to classrooms in need

I liked what The New Frugal Mom had to offer to help make back to school easier for everyone.

When I think Florida, I think Kissimmee

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Kissimmee Tourism. All opinions are 100% mine.

When you mention Disney World, the first thought that comes to my mind is Kissimmee.

Sure the park is listed in Orlando another city, but the real heart of the place is right there in Kissimmee which is every bit the vacation spot that is perfect to explore.

Besides spending time at the big theme parks, Kissimmee is a great launch point to see the nearby Everglades with a swamp air-boat tour in Boggy Creek , take in the Atlantic “Space” Coast (travel time was about an hour driving) and tour the Kennedy Space Center (would have been great to catch the shuttle launch but the Space Center Tour was fun as well) or just take some time to unwind and relax.

Kennedy Space Center

During our visit, there was no shortage of things to do and see especially for the younger ones. If you get an itch to get away from one of the magnificent resorts, take a spin and visit many of the eclectic shops, magnificent lakefronts and quaint downtown area of nearby Celebration. We spent an hour driving through, peeking at the shops and taking in the village atmosphere.

The family and I are already planning the rerun trip to Disney World with another stay at the beautiful Radisson Orlando Celebration Resort, some time spent at Epcot, Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Typhoon park. A great online tool to use is the Visit Kissimmee site — put together the best itinerary for your family.

Kissimmee was beautiful, we thoroughly enjoyed being able to finally see the area.  I only wish we would have been able to stay longer to take more of the sites in, 5 days was too short. One of the friendliest places we  have visited and it is one we will long remember.
